Manholes URBAN IMPRINTS

From Surface to Gathering

Urban surfaces become starting points.
Street elements, such as manhole covers, are translated into ceramic
forms using clay sourced from the local environment.
The village becomes both reference and material.

The cast surfaces and circular forms
gradually evolved beyond the object itself.

What began as material studies later will become the starting point
for shared tables, collective meals and temporary encounters.

COMMUNITY DINING

The work will culminate in shared meals.
Ceramic objects are used to host dinners for residents,
organized per street and neighbourhood.
Through food, objects, and conversation,
the project creates space for exchange.
Art becomes a tool for encounter.
